The Royal Shakespeare Company’s hit musical
adaptation of Roald Dahl’s Matilda is headed to Broadway in early 2013.
Roald Dahl’s much-loved story bursts into life on stage in this brand new musical version by Dennis Kelly and award-winning musician and comedian Tim Minchin. Children and adults alike will be thrilled and delighted by the story of the special little girl with an extraordinary imagination.
The production is directed by Matthew Warchus and designed by Rob Howell with choreography by Peter Darling, lighting by Hugh Vanstone, musical supervision and orchestration by Christopher Nightingale, sound by Simon Baker and special effects and illusions are by Paul Kieve. The entire creative team has reassembled to create the London production. |

Children's auditions for Matilda and her classmates will begin in the spring of 2012.
Nora Brennan Casting will be casting the children for Matilda the Musical.
Jim Carnahan Casting will be casting the adults.
Both Jim Carnahan Casting and Nora Brennan Casting will be casting the role of Matilda.
1. WHERE WILL THE AUDITIONS BE HELD?
Most of our auditions will be in New York City. For the role of Matilda, we will also be auditioning
outside of New York City.

2. DO I HAVE TO LIVE IN NYC?
With the exception of the role of Matilda, all children in the cast need to live within commuting distance from New York City. Matildas may come from anywhere.
3. HOW OLD DO I HAVE TO BE TO AUDITION?
We will audition children for Matilda who are aged 8 to 12 and up to 4ft 3in. Her classmates need to be aged 8 to 13 and up to 4ft 10in with wonderful dancing and singing skills! |

4. WHAT WILL I HAVE TO DO IN THE AUDITION?
You will be asked to bring a short poem or story to present, to sing something and you will be taught a dance from the show.
5. HOW DO I FIND OUT ABOUT AUDITIONS?
